About Yorkshire Alcoves

We are Yorkshire alcoves, a small team of cabinetmakers that design and create beautiful bespoke alcove furniture, tailoring each and every design to suit your individual lifestyle and storage needs.

Who We Are

Yorkshire alcoves were originally set up as a sister company to our main fitted furniture company - (Jackson Woodworks)

over the years we have morphed and grown into a self-contained bespoke fitted alcove business specialising in Traditional alcove cabinetry across Yorkshire

Our workshop is based in Barnsley, from our central location we can cover a vast area of Yorkshire and beyond, working with customers and/or their interior designers to produce quality pieces every time

How We Work

DESIGN

We will visit your home for you to discuss your project with one of our friendly knowledgeable designers.in this time we will be looking to get an understanding of your storage and style

After the initial meeting, we can turn your ideas into a full-colour 3D design, giving you a clear visualisation of your storage space and its place within your home

MANUFACTURE

Your design is passed onto our team of craftsmen to bring your furniture to life

We make absolutely everything we can during this stage and do as much paint finishing as possible, we do this for one reason, to keep as much disruption, dust and noise out of your home.

INSTALLATION

Our skilled installation team endeavour to respect your home and provide a polite, punctual and most importantly tidy approach to installation

After making sure we have left your home clean and tidy, we leave you to enjoy your new furniture

Beyond fitting, our aftersales team are always on hand should you ever need us.

The Home Visit

We will visit your home for you to discuss your project with one of our friendly knowledgeable designers.in this time we will be looking to get an understanding of your storage and style preferences and guide you through all the options available to create your perfect storage solution,

what we need from you

A good understanding of what you want to achieve in both storage and styles.
If you find pictures in our gallery or elsewhere on the internet of styles, themes or materials you want to be included, feel free to collate them to show your designer.
Finally, please allow for access to the space where you want the fitted furniture to be installed as your designer will need to take exact measurements.

Any samples and swatches needed will be presented for you to choose from, we will also survey your fitted furniture installation area, taking detailed measurements and pictures so that after the initial meeting we can turn your ideas into a full-colour 3D design, giving you a clear visualisation of your storage space and its place within your home.
